Two advertising transactions for the same amount do not necessarily mean you were charged twice. Threshold billing, verification holds, retries and multiple payment profiles can create similar-looking records. Match each transaction to its status, account and billing receipt before deciding how to respond.

Content type: Rules summary. Adapted from the Chinese article dated August 24, 2026. This is a reconciliation process, not a live transaction test.

Separate authorizations from posted charges

  • Pending or processing: funds may be reserved while the transaction is unfinished.
  • Posted or completed: match the settled charge against platform billing records.
  • Reversed or voided: an authorization has been cancelled; ask the issuer when available funds will be restored.
  • Declined: an unsuccessful attempt is not itself proof of a collected payment.

Keep the time, amount, currency, merchant descriptor and masked statement record for each item. Equal amounts on the same day may belong to different accounts or billing periods.

Match four platform records

  1. Advertising account ID: identify the responsible account, especially in agency or shared-team setups.
  2. Payment profile and billing entity: separate profiles may settle independently.
  3. Receipt or invoice reference: look for a matching billing document for each posted charge.
  4. Threshold and scheduled collections: two legitimate collections can occur close together.

Investigate unmatched charges

Export the billing transactions for the relevant period. Match each posted bank charge to a receipt, then list the transaction references that remain unmatched. Send billing support the affected account, dates, amounts, currencies and receipt information through an official channel. Ask for a written explanation or refund reference where appropriate, and ask the issuer to trace unresolved items.

A pending authorization alone is not evidence of duplicate settled billing. Avoid submitting repeated disputes or repeatedly removing and re-adding cards while the status is unclear. If a transaction is unauthorized, or a dispute deadline is approaching, contact the issuer promptly rather than waiting indefinitely.

Reduce reconciliation problems

  • Assign a billing owner and budget for each advertising account.
  • Keep payment-method changes deliberate and documented.
  • Export and reconcile statements regularly.
  • Use transaction alerts and controlled limits for separate-purpose cards.

Independent balances, card controls and billing exports can help teams separate projects. The original article mentions UeePay as a candidate to assess; eligibility, fees, platform acceptance and refund handling still require confirmation.
